Variable speed pump installation Tempe Arizona

My long time customer in Tempe Arizona still had an old, single speed pump which finally failed this year. It was time for a variable speed pump installation and as an added benefit, meet the new energy efficiency standards and save my customer some money on energy costs related to operating the pump.

The pump and filter were sitting on a concrete equipment pad that was cracked and broken into four pieces. The new variable speed pump, which is longer than the old pump, and taller with a digital controller on the motor made it impossible to set the new pre form concrete equipment pad the same way. This gave me an opportunity to set up the equipment on the pad in a proper way so the plumbing doesn't have so may bends in such a small area.

Pool pumps run a lot quieter and have less cavitation when there is some straight pipe after a bend. I also replaced the old valves and painted the PVC pipe to protect the plastic from the suns harmful UV rays.
