Pool repair in Gilbert Arizona

A long time customer in Gilbert Arizona contacted me this year to add a check valve, so the water stopped rushing back to the pool every time she opened the pump lid to empty the basket. I was unable to move the pump back on the pad to install a check valve in front of the pump, because the pad was originally placed on the pad the wrong way.
A typical equipment pad is three feet wide and two feet deep. A filter is usually two feet in diameter, leaving one foot next to the filter on the pad for the pump. When installers rotate the pad and place the equipment onto it where the pump and filter are next to each other with only two feet of width, it makes it impossible to replace a pump, or do a repair like this because there is no room on the pad.
I took out the old pad and put in a new, pre-form concrete pad the right way, so the pump could be moved back and the check valve could be installed. This will be beneficial when the pump eventually fails, as there will be plenty of space to install a new pump. I painted the pipe with primer and flat black paint to protect it from UV damage from the sun.
